Hi my names matt forum a7 premium fences and gates, i also do patio, 80mm thickness of mix isn’t bad it’s more of an overkill and will cost you more in materials, the minimum mix height is 30mm when the thickness is 50mm this doesn’t mean that 80-100mm is wrong just means would cost you more in material, it makes more sense too get another tonne or so of type 1 hardcore as this would be the cheaper way, but if your happy spending more on mix then 80mm is perfectly fine???? hope this helps a little cheers matt

Hi if the sandstone is moving there is one of two things that could of happened, first the sun base is not thick enough and neither is the mix, or secondly by the sounds of it they have not wet the back of the slab before they put it down with one part mix and 5parts water, this helps adhere the slab too the mix and makes for a firmer adhere, they also could of spotted them and not full based which is bad workmanship, if you would like me too come out and take a look so i can have a more in-depth examination feel free too call me on 07939296344 cheers matt
Hi if it’s ten bays of fencing i’m assuming it’s 60 feet long or there about, if the hedge is that big also then i wouldn’t be surprised it coming back around £2190-£2390 that would be all waste removed 10bays of fencing two days labour for two men hope this helps,
Depending on what fence you was after concrete with gravel boards would be £1950 and if it was close board it would be a little bit cheaper, its good that there is no fence there in the first place as this saves money on waste, if you would want a free quote for this work too be carried out
