No it should not be a problem. i have done this before and had no effect on woodwork when taking it off. as second coat can start to be applied a while later so once second coat is on, that's when i take it off.

If its gloss then 2.5l is plenty enough for 4 doors with spare left over. gloss is best, even coloured it can be mixed for the right colour needed.

I would remove the old wallpaper. if it's already lifting in patches then over time it will do the same. easiest way for cost effective in long run is just to grim the fact its going to be removed.
hardwood can be papered just sand it a little and use a thin mixed solution and it should be fine. thanks.

Samd down the old gloss off the skirting and then start again as if it were fresh skirting.
