About Us:

James roofing and property maintenance is a small family run company specializing in all aspects of roofing and general property maintenance. i have been in the roofing and building trade for over 30 years and i have had the luck of employing 2 other long time served tradesmen to run as a separate team.We offer a complete package at a realistic price with the customer getting the best service and advice for their budget. We also provide a site fabrication service for balconies and handrails in a range of metals and wood with glass panels

History:

We are currently slowly integrating my son (in the photo) to take the reins when we decide he is ready.we have decided that over 80 years experience in the construction industry between me and two of my long serving employees it is time to admit our youth eventually will take over our company and we slowly take a backseat. when i originally started it was only roofing i did my apprenticeship straight from school and was taught to do it correctly the first time no matter how long it takes or how difficult it is no corner cutting or white lies. I set up James roofing 5 years ago after my partner retired from the old company and i have been lucky enough to find some good younger lads to train up To bring together a complete service for the customers. We only accept to quote for jobs we know we can complete with confidence and cover by our guarantees. balconies and handrails including stainless steel and glass infill panels.

Answers:

Gas fire requires heat proof plasterboard
Having recently done this to my fireplace for the second time (wife wanted larger open gas fire) i would suggest a general builder with experience in roofing and general plumbing only because im a roofer with that background and had no problems and get a gas safe engineer (the one fitting the fire) to check the air flow a gas spillage
