About Us:

I am RAF Veteran, multi skilled tradesman. I am based in Bedale, North Yorkshire. I carry out multi skilled tradesman jobs. I cover minor electrical works, plumbing, plastering, gardening, general handyman work, tiling, flooring, painting & decorating and basic domestic appliance repairs.

History:

I have been a multi skiled tradesman for over 30 years, specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering. I have renevated numerous houses. I have worked in facilities maintenance for most of my RAF career. I have now set up my own business TG5 Engineering Inspection Services. My secondary role is TG5 Maintenance & Repairs, carrying out tradesman jobs when my main inspection business is quiet. I have high standards, I would not do something to your property that I wouldnt be happy with myself. I have worked on high spec engineering machinery, to basic building and property maintenance. I can do most jobs, like plumbing, minor electrical works, gardening, flooring, tiling, plastering (not ceilings), skirting, painting & decorating and fitting & fault diagnosis of domestic appliances. I am trustworthy and reliable.

Replace 9 light switches - Electrical fitting job in Catterick

“First class job, would recommend to anyone, price very competitive, trustworthy.”
General household repairs - Handyman job in Bradford

“Mr Randell completed a number of repairs needed on my property including installing a new bath plug fitting as the mechanism had corroded, he did a small amount of plastering and some electrical work including fitting two PIR lights in my garage and in my garden, fixing a plug socket that was not working and also my house alarm. He also completed some carpentry work on a door. I would say that Mr Randell's work was of the highest quality, he worked quickly and efficiently and I am in fact already working on another list of things that I require doing. In my experience it is rare to find someone who is so experienced in so many different aspects of work and saves time and money ringing around different people who can only do certain things. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to anyone else.”

Answers:

I would recommend using a good quality white sealant. apply masking tape around the socket leaving approx 2 mm gap on the socket and tiles. force sealant into the gap with mastic gun. use your finger and neatly smooth excess silicone off. remove tape, then very lightly with a wet finger or thumb, smooth again. should leave a very neat finish with the gaps filled in. other option is to use a oscillating multi tool with tile attachment. mark around socket with sharpie pen. remove socket, cut tiles with oscillating tool, then refit and sink sockets in and apply grout.
