How much will cost to dig out and refill using wire mesh for added support and strength
Unfortunately most of these sorts of things need to be assessed to fully take into account the effected area its proper needs and the space that has been damaged.
It all depends on the size of the area.. But wire mesh option can be cost effective.. alot more work involved in the preparation before plasterer work can be compleat. There is other alternatives to repairing cracks...
WHERE THE CRACK FIRST COULD BE MOVMENT NEED TO CHECK IT FIRST.
THEN YOU CAN PLASTERER IT :)
Depends how many square meters you have!
This will depend on the leangth & depth of the crackin the plaster to be reparied and be it a concrete ceiliong Or a plasterboared ceiling.
Not sure what there is to dig out, on an old ceiling you can plater tap the crack/joint and re-skim or if it's to bad can over board and skim or pay extra and take down old calling, re board and ski.
With seeing the job could not fully understand the question.

The cost is hard to say without viewing how deep/long the crack is , you may be able to widen it , and then cork it then just fill over it but it wouldn't guarantee it would stay , if the crack isn't realy deep and just a hairline crack then it is possible to scrim mesh it then plaster over . But if the crack is deep and reaches from one side of the room to the other it is best to plasterboard over the whole ceiling, then mesh the joints , then plaster , this will garantee the ceiling stays sound and crack free . Hope this helps
B&D Plastering
On cieling you not use eml wire if boarded
You can dig out crack add so plasterer fibre glass mess and fibre mix plaster this will improve your strength and cieling
