Hi we have taken down a dado rail that had been applied with No Nail, we have filled ,sanded and painted over however the paint just keeps blowing, we have tried numerous so called tricks of the trade but have had no success, can you please confirm if its possible to plaster just the middle of the walls?
Many thanks Natalie
You could but it might not leave you with a even finish, another option would be to use a lightweight filler such as easi fill
Yes that wouldnt be a problem to plaster. Although I would use easyfill.
Best of luck
Hi Natalie if you pva the area then plaster the day after should take easy without problems .
yes you can but it is a bit of work to what we call feathering in.

Off course is possible that can be cost you 100 pounds together material
Hello Natalie, the answer is yes with a couple of considerations:- In most cases it takes no more real time to do a complete wall, than a small area. This is based on the processes involved in a two coat plaster system that takes up to 2 1/2 hours to complete due to drying times. They say that "a patch is always a patch" plaster is a two coat system and is applied to a thickness of 1-3mm per coat. This would mean that it would have to tapper to the surrounding wall all around the repair. As to the paint blowing, l have encountered this on a few occasions and applied a white wash coat first so as to kill the suction from the filler, do this with a paint brush as a roller could pull the filler away from the wall. Do hope this is of help.
You can plaster parts of if the wall which would need a lot of preparation work for painting. It would be easier and cost effective to plaster the whole wall giving a better finish for painting after.
Hi yes it is possible to skim just part of a wall where the rail was. Have you got this sorted yet
It is possible to plaster any patrt of a wall surface, In your situation plastering an existing plastered surface one should apply a PVA soloution
to would allow the surface to become permeable, Seasled and allow the paint to grab or stick to its surfac once the PVA is dried.
Yes you can patch it up cheers steven
It can be done with easy fill wich is a filler that is easy to rub down would be a lot better than trying to rub down multi finish or skim whole wall your choice
You can plaster any part off a wall but it always more professional if you skim the whole wall so have no joint as half a wall to a full wall is about same cost
