the switch will need to be replaced. you must be able to isolate the power to the shower in an emergency. replacing the switch and testing and inspecting the existing circuit on completion is a job for a qualified electrician but is usually straightforward.

i recommend to inspect the wiring and swiches for moisture and testing with a electrical multifunction tester. they may have to be replaced to ensure they are properly dry for safe operation.
the good news is they are relatively inexpensive and a strightforward job for a qualified electrician.

this sounds like the dryer is switching of due to the operation of the thermal cut out.
there could be a jammed object between the drum and case. the motor could be overheating.
a visualc check and some electrical testing would confirm this and suggest a repair.
