I have now wasted over three weeks and have to start getting quotes again. obviously the job was too small, but a phone call at the beginning to say he was unable to do the job would have been acceptable. complete waste of time.

The final bit has been too tricky for this person and we need someone/team of two with more experience to take over the work in finishing removing it and making the area good again - ie. repairing the ceiling, walls and floor where the cupboard used to be.
