Have a kitchen which is in need of tiling. I do not trust myself to do it as it something I know I am not good at. It's not a large area approx 5 to 6 square meters at a guess. Saw this site and wondered if anyone can help? If you could give me an idea of cost would be greatful have tiles & grout just need the experience which I am sadly lacking...
You hear of many people being disatisfied with work done by builders feeling that things could have been done better yet you never hear or see many people give praise where it's due, well let me tell you we certainly cannot fault Richard in anyway he arrived at the agreed time, and worked throughout the day gave us ideas on which direction we should take and worked extremely hard cleaned up as he went and left with doing an extremely good job. I have a Garage area around 7 metre squared which needs to be Tiled. I have already brought the Tiles, adhesive and Grout so just needs to be laid. Currently has laminate floor down so that would need to come up with the skirting. If interested please contact me to arrange visit / quote. Thanks
Asked Mark to tile part of my garage floor while I was away. He did a neat and tidy Job for a good price and also fitted a tile to laminate spacer at no extra cost after I had ordered in the wrong one. Would recommend and use again.
Rich originally quoted to lay a tiled floor with underfloor heating. I was so impressed with his professional attitude and prices that he has now fully fitted a new bathroom for us, installed a new Velux and installed a kitchen from scratch. The finish is great, the price is very reasonable, he always manages to find a solution to the problems that arise in building work (our cottage is 300 years old so doesn't always lend itself well to modern fittings) and he's reliable & punctual.
I am extremely pleased with the work undertaken. They made a beautiful hearth out of my chosen tiles and cleared up any mess resulting from the job although little mess was made. I would highly recommend.

Tile 3M square area of kitchen between the counter top and wall cabinets on 3 walls. The tiles are 20 x 10mm and there are approximately 158 tiles in 4 rows. There are 6 electrical sockets.
Terrible workmanship. Will need to be redone. It was a simple job; four rows of tiles above a work surface extending around three flat walls. J&M left a mess of smeared grouting etc on tiles & worksurfaces, hiding the faults:
1. Spacers not used as grouting gaps uneven. 2. Tiling uneven, not always level, and some tiles stick out. 3. Thick ill applied grouting not smoothed. 4. Big gaps in grouting with worksurface and edging strip. No edging strip corners meet. 5. Socket holes cut too big.
Asked Paul from Budget Builders to do numerous things in our house, including tiling the kitchen. Everything done professionally, reliably and with care. They were happy to go the extra mile to help and advise us, keeping us fully informed about what they were doing. We heartily recommend them
Great personality and polite but that is all I can say about Mak, tiling work no more then average if that. I wish him well but he over promised and under delivered. Went for someone without a review thinking it could be an hidden gem, how foolish of me!
