Cristian from Splendid Design completely redesigned our kitchen in consultation with us, built all the cabinets and shelving units himself from scratch and installed them, did all the plumbing and electrics himself, and laid the floor. We now have much more cupboard space than previously (about 1/3 more probably), more kitchen surface (ditto), and the design of the kitchen is much more ergonomic than before, so it is much easier and more enjoyable to cook, tidy up and do all the domestic jobs you do in a kitchen. The room also looks much bigger than before and is much more attractive and smart. We love it!
He is an excellent designer (we had a design done by a major kitchen chain which was nowhere near as good) a skilled carpenter, thinks about details and is great at solving problems that arise - for instance when I ordered the wrong size cooker by mistake and he changed the design so it would fit into the final kitchen. He is also a very hard worker and is punctual, reliable and honest and responds to messages and phone calls. He also does his best to keep costs down and often has alternative suggestions for cheaper ways to do things.
He has also done other carpentry and handyman jobs for us including installing sliding doors on our fitted wardrobe which had previously normal doors with hinges. He also planed down doors which would not shut due to the amount of paint on them and because of some strange DIY which had been done by someone else to the door frame so it ended up being a quite complicated job. He has also put up pictures and coat hooks.
I would not hesitate to recommend Cristian.
