Remove existing laminate flooring and underlay from main living area. Lay laminate flooring in new extension and in existing living areas, hall and landing - ground floor to flow through as one area. I have purchased the flooring and silver backed 3mm underlay.
The skirting in the extension has been loosely fitted and primed and I would want this trimmed to fit over the expansion gap. The existing living area may require beading as skirting boards are boxed to hide central heating pipes.
Kitchen is newly fitted but still has old quarry tiles. I would consider having this re-tiled with ceramic as part of this job if tradesman is appropriately experienced, but initial thoughts are to leave my rather battered look in the kitchen, with appropriate door-bar or joining strip and reconsider later if necessary.
For the landing, ideally I would like to fit a new stair carpet on my 'turning' staircase - including several wedge shaped steps and join with the laminate for the landing itself (cats tear up carpet on the threshold with bedrooms so I need to use solid flooring on the landing). If you can do this as one job with the landing, I would source appropriate stair carpet.

Arrived in good time and did exactly what they said they would do. Flooring involved some awkward trimming etc. but they made it look easy. Result has transformed my home and has already been admired by a number of people.
