How to remove a tap to change the cartridge?

How to remove a tap to change the cartridge. The tap is in the corner of a bath. Underneath the bath, the tap has an inlet and outlet that serves a central outlet. Hence the tap cannot be removed from above. The top of the tap handle does not have a screw to remove to allow the tap to be removed downwards. Underneath the tap handle there are 3 different diameter rings, on top of each other, 2 of which unscrew easily. I presume the top diameter ring also unscrews but I am loath to force it in case I break something. Can anyone confirm this?

You do not need to remove the entire tap to replace its cartridge.
Firstly, isolate your cold water mains/isolation valve & hot water supply to the affected tap.
Turn the tap on to ensure it is isolated.
Unscrew or carefully remove tap handle, gently use a suitable wrench or spanner to remove faulty cartridge & install new cartridge.
Fix the tap handle/head back in place securely, turn you hot & cold water supply back on a bit slowly, observe tap for leakage, if none turn the supply on fully & run your tap to check what you have done.
