Sink removal

Hi I am having kitchen fitted by a company but I am having the kitchen removed and plastered/ skimmed by a separate tradesman ( to keep costs down) . I want to know once the sink is removed, but walls have been plastered and I am awaiting the fitting of the kitchen (including sink etc) . Will my water supply have to remain off or is their a way I can have the water on so I can use the loo and and bath etc?

Ask your plasterer to turn the water off and fit 2 'stop caps' on your pipes for the sink. Turn the water supply back on and you're good to go. Water will run through the house but unable to get through the sink pipes.
I hope this has helped

You can just isolate the valve and use the rest of the water appliances in the house

Of course we keep your water supply on by capping the sink pipe and turning the valves off.

When removing the sink you can cap the pipes very easily either a full cap or a ball valve with a cap , my option would be a lever valve on the cold supply with a flexible hose so you can turn the mains back on and also a water supply in the room for your plasterer

If they have any basic knowledge then water supply shouldn't be off. When the existing sink and taps are disconnected the pipework should be capped off, though personally a flexi-hose with an isolation valve would be fitted to the cold supply so trades can access water in kitchen still without going all through your house and your water supply can remain on throughout. Supply should only be off during disconnection and commissioning, so about an hour at a time...

Yes of course you will still be able to have your water on, you will just need some isolation valves fitted so they can be turned off then you can turn your water back on

Hi, sure you can. All pipes can be plugged or isolated. I’m sure people removing the sink will be kind enough to do it for you.
