We are moving into our new home shortly which doesn't have a dishwasher. We would like to retrospectively fit an integrated dishwasher to the existing kitchen. Can this be done? and if so, is it a big/expensive job?
This can be done
Price depends on existing kitchen and what remedial work to units is required
Hi,
Providing you have the space to fit a dishwasher in and it’s close to your kitchen sink or a eternal waste pipe ie washer then yes some minor plumbing is needed but it can be done. Estimated cost excluding dishwasher and door frontal £150-250.
It all depends if it’ll fit, but no shouldn’t take long or be expensive
Yes you can but an integrated dishwasher will be more labour to install. Integrated models need to be installed in a kitchen cabinet with similar access to a water and drain connection but isn't that big of a job and the cost shouldn't be too expensive.
Yes as long as you have that size unit that can be removed
Yes this certainly can be done!
Price would vary on a number of things!

Hi, it’s easily done as long as the kitchen layout allows for an easy retrofit.
In most cases adjustments are easy and hassle free.
Hi yes you can but you will need a 600mm integrated unit possibly a door blank and being near a water and waste supply hope this helps
An integrated dishwasher install is possible.
There needs to be a 600mm wide cabinet left or right of the existing sink.
This cabinet would be removed completely and a specific integrated cabinet put in its place.
To match the existing kitchen, it might be possible to reuse the old cabinet door, if it didn’t have a drawer above.
you can add a dishwasher to a small kitchen without having to lose out on layout.
This is a relatively easy job. A standard dishwasher will fit a 600 space. Provided you have a 600 cabinet you are willing to lose to a coma date the new dishwasher you’ll have little problems. You will also need to consider plumbing so a location near the sink is preferable. Finally power.
Provided all of the above was in place this can generally be done in a day.
An integrated dishwasher can easily be fitted into any kitchen which has a water and electrical supply.
Dishwashers are usually 60 cm wide and will fit under a standard height worktop ie 90 cm
So one would usually fit the dishwasher as close to the existing sink as possible by removing a 60 cm wide unit or adjusting other units to create a 60cm wide space.
This job should take no more than 4 to 5 hours and be charged accordingly.
It can be done however you may find trying to source and exact match for the existing doors could be troublesome. If you have the manufacturer and range of the existing kitchen it shouldn't be too much of an issue unless it has been discontinued.
It shouldn't be a big expensive job at all, a day's work for a competent tradesman including alterations to cabinetry if required.
Yes you can dishwasher too existing kitchen
As long as you can get the right size door and have enough space or are willing to sacrifice a unit its a straight forward job. if its just a case of leveling up the dishwasher and putting door on it won`t cost much at all.
Yes you can add a dishwasher
No it is not expensive
Yes, it's possible to retrospectively fit an integrated dishwasher into your existing kitchen. The complexity and cost of the job can vary depending on your kitchen's layout, the available space, and your plumbing and electrical setup.
Here are some general steps to consider:
Assessment: First, assess the available space in your kitchen to ensure it can accommodate a dishwasher. You'll need a cabinet or space that's wide enough and deep enough for the dishwasher.
Electrical and Plumbing: Ensure you have the necessary electrical and plumbing connections nearby. If not, you may need to hire professionals to extend these connections, which can add to the cost.
Cabinet Modification: You might need to modify your existing cabinets to make space for the dishwasher. This can involve removing or cutting a cabinet and making adjustments for the dishwasher's size.
Dishwasher Installation: Once the space is ready, you'll need to install the dishwasher properly. This includes securing it in place, connecting the water supply and drainage, and connecting it to the electrical circuit.
Front Panel Integration: If you want it to be truly integrated, you'll need to match the dishwasher's front panel to your existing kitchen cabinets. This can involve customizing or ordering a matching panel.
Cost: The cost can vary widely based on factors like the complexity of the installation, the need for additional electrical and plumbing work, and the cost of any custom cabinet modifications or front panel integration. It's advisable to get quotes from professionals for a more accurate estimate.
While it's certainly possible to retrofit an integrated dishwasher, it's essential to plan carefully and potentially consult with a kitchen renovation professional to ensure it's done correctly and safely.
Hi, yes you can in most cases. All you need is to sacrifice one 50 or 60cm cupboard and then the dishwasher could be installed there. Points to be considered, you will need new electrical point extended to it and water supply brought to it ,plus waste water to go to connection under the sink. Maybe sink trap to be changed as well.
Even built in dishwasher is possible to be fitted as long as matching door could be bought.
Thank you
Yes, it's possible to retroactively install an integrated dishwasher in your existing kitchen, but the complexity and cost can vary depending on factors like available space, cabinet modifications needed, and plumbing/electrical connections required. It's best to consult with a professional installer for a precise assessment and cost estimate tailored to your kitchen's layout and needs
This can be done, it all depends on how easy a matching door is to get and also the routing and location of plumbing as to how big/expensive it would be
It would be possible depending on the layout of your kitchen and available space. Likely cost would be new integrated appliance and unit with door etc.
