Replace existing MCBs with RCDs (Electrical fitting)

“Very thorough and professional, he took time to explain what was required and charged reasonably for the quality job done. Thanks.”
Outside Lights (Electrical fitting)

“Thank you for your honesty. This chap came to give a quote, he was honest in telling me that I needed a new fuse circuit thingy but not worth the cost for what I was asking him to do. I really appreciated the fact he did not try to fob me off or get me to pay for work that was not needed. ”

Answers:

From what i have been hearing it takes anywhere between 5 and 8 years before you see any savings on a install but certain factors like how many panels installed the original cost and if you have a deal in place with supply company who will pay for unused supply
Fuseboxes dont need replacing if you dont intend on adding any further circuits or additions to the original install. however new consumer units are recommended as rcd are required to cover most circuits in house and old fuseboards dont have this feature plus several other factors to long to go into here on the benefits of upgrading to mcb`s and not fuses which tended to take longer to overload and break. average prices range from £200 to £700 depending on amount of circuits on installation
Sounds like you have residual voltage leak this is caused by 2 way switching meaning if you can switch the light from another area the control wire between the 2 switches causes this residue and led`s are more prone to this.
