Hi and welcome to Alan Rampling Tiling
We carry out wall and floor tiling for almost any type of project. Whether it be a bathroom or a kitchen splashback then no job is too small or too large. All our work comes fully guaranteed subject to materials if supplied by you the customer. We are fully insured to work at your property. We will do our utmost to keep the job tidy and clean as if we were working at our own house.
Our work is payable on completion and total satisfaction however if we supply any materials for you then a deposit will be required to cover for this expense.

If any builder or bricklayer says they will build on top of shingles then i would be very wary of their competency and trade experience. shingles are the roof covering that will protect the main roof from the elements such as wind, water, sun and snow etc.it isn't a solid base or foundation for building off. hope that helps..
Have you considered putting a lightweight slated roof instead of lead or other materials. there is every chance your main roof is slated so the canopy should blend in nicely with a used slate. i am assuming it's only a smallish canopy so not many slates would be required but you would require some timber work to support the slate roofing etc. hope that helps.

its more than likely that your frames need replacing because the new double glazing these days create a very tight seal against air and moisture entering in and around the unit which could be causing your misty windows.
another problem is that some fitters will use silicone products to secure the glazing to the frames and this could cause a chemical reaction between the sealed unit and silicones again causing the glazed unit to fail and cause misting. and finally condensation could be an issue in your property in terms of ventilation and insulation and especially if windows that are misting are in the kitchen or bathroom or even if you dry cloths on radiators etc.

Dear homeowner
i am not sure what agreement you had in place with your building contractor but if you did have a contract then there should be a term and condition within the contract which explains what your recourse is for his or disappearance. i am not entirely sure whether you can sell his equipment legally or not so i would seek an opinion from a solicitor regarding that. or if you are still communicating with the builder then why not come to some amicable arrangement to remove his rubbish for the sale of his equipment but get his acceptance first.
