A J Parsons Electrical.

Location: Tavistock, Devon

About Us:

My practical training was with a methodical local electrician for over 10 years, learning the practical skills for good installation practice, fault finding and testing of work.
My electrical studies were at St Austell on a day release basis.

History:

I started in 1988 as an apprentice with one day a week studying.
After completing my studies I started doing my own work one day a week this slowly changed as I added days. When my boss retied due to Part P, I took on many of his customers. I have had two apprentices since then both of whom have moved on.

Not necessarily, if it has rcds covering all circuits and is in good condition it is fine technically. however if you need electrical work carried out the electrician will need to confirm on the certificate that the box is compliant with fire safety this can be achieved by putting a metal enclosure over it but this may be more expensive than changing the box.
