“This company was from the first gentleman who came to quote the job to the 2 gentleman who did the job where all outstanding. They where polite, friendly, and kept a clean space the best they could. They even mopped the floor for me at the end of the job. I would recommend them to anyone. Plus the wall they where doing became a bigger job than it should of been and they didn't complain about the extra work at all and the workmanship is outstanding truly. ”
“We had our loft boarded, an interior wall moved, porch completely refurbished and interior doors replaced. All work completed to a high standard. We also asked for some other small jobs too and all done without any fuss! ”
“An exceptional bunch of lads who are very thorough in their work with a fantastic work ethic. They encountered many problems in the work they did for me and took it all in their stride. I can`t recommend them highly enough. ”
“These lads did a fantastic job painting our showroom. They were really helpful and polite, and were able to work around our customers coming and going. They were very organised and did a great job cleaning up as they went. The amount charged for the job was extremely competetive, so we would highly recommend them to future potential customers. A smashing bunch of lads!
“Very professional and good hard workers. They completed the job on time and to a very high standard, I couldn't be happier with the outcome and strongly recommend them for any building work. Thank-you sincerely. ”
“Two lovely lads. Very clean did job in the garden also resealed my bath and sink. Very helpful. Would definitely recommend and will be getting them back for any jobs that I need doing in the near future”
“I highly recommend these lads for any plastering work needed. My bathroom was in a terrible state after removing tiles, plaster had holes back to the brick work & I noticed the lintel had dropped. They removed old plaster back to the brick, secured loose beam, altered the position of my fake wall & then plastered the room to perfection. It looks amazing, they were fast considering the amount of work they did & cleaned up all their mess. My floors were covered to prevent damage & they hovered/brushed everywhere before they left each day. They did such a fantastic job that I got them to glamrend the shower area for me too. Since this job I've called them back to plaster my kitchen ceiling. Nothing was too much trouble and it was a free quote.”
distemper is easily identified, it is soft and dusty to touch and will come off the surface of walls onto your hands and is very flaky ,the down side to this surface coating is that nothing will stick to it which is a major problem when you want to redecorate with either wallpaper or paint or replastering. there are several ways this can be sorted. either by scrubbing with hot water or wallpaper steamers can also be good for removing distemper. the best way however, to is to soften it and scrape it off and apply a stabilising soloution then seal the surface prior to plastering using either pva or other bonding agents/primers such as thistle bond it or feb blue grit.
Hair line cracks in plaster can occur due to several different reasons, such as settlement, shrinkage cracking can occur sometimes after re plastering if the plaster has dried out to fast due to temperature and humidity of room. movement in structures can also cause cracking to plaster walls and ceilings if the plaster is old and weak as plaster isn't a flexible material. the weather can cause hairline cracking to plaster if the pointing on the exterior of the property has come away or has crumbled this exposes interior walls too cracking.
