repaint retail showroom - Painting & decorating job in Warrington

“These lads did a fantastic job painting our showroom. They were really helpful and polite, and were able to work around our customers coming and going. They were very organised and did a great job cleaning up as they went. The amount charged for the job was extremely competetive, so we would highly recommend them to future potential customers. A smashing bunch of lads! Estelle Williams”

plastered bathroom - Plastering job in St Helens

“I highly recommend these lads for any plastering work needed. My bathroom was in a terrible state after removing tiles, plaster had holes back to the brick work & I noticed the lintel had dropped. They removed old plaster back to the brick, secured loose beam, altered the position of my fake wall & then plastered the room to perfection. It looks amazing, they were fast considering the amount of work they did & cleaned up all their mess. My floors were covered to prevent damage & they hovered/brushed everywhere before they left each day. They did such a fantastic job that I got them to glamrend the shower area for me too. Since this job I've called them back to plaster my kitchen ceiling. Nothing was too much trouble and it was a free quote.”
glam rend kitchen wall and render garden wall - Plastering job in St Helens

“brilliant job glam rend looks fabulous in kitchen everyone comments on it. wall in garden looks Brill. ”

distemper is easily identified, it is soft and dusty to touch and will come off the surface of walls onto your hands and is very flaky ,the down side to this surface coating is that nothing will stick to it which is a major problem when you want to redecorate with either wallpaper or paint or replastering. there are several ways this can be sorted. either by scrubbing with hot water or wallpaper steamers can also be good for removing distemper. the best way however, to is to soften it and scrape it off and apply a stabilising soloution then seal the surface prior to plastering using either pva or other bonding agents/primers such as thistle bond it or feb blue grit.
You would be better getting skirting boards fitted to avoid get plaster wet which could result in damp.
Hair line cracks in plaster can occur due to several different reasons, such as settlement, shrinkage cracking can occur sometimes after re plastering if the plaster has dried out to fast due to temperature and humidity of room. movement in structures can also cause cracking to plaster walls and ceilings if the plaster is old and weak as plaster isn't a flexible material. the weather can cause hairline cracking to plaster if the pointing on the exterior of the property has come away or has crumbled this exposes interior walls too cracking.
Hi freshly plastered walls will require more paint on them than walls that have already been painted. fresh plaster sucks in the paint.
You could try mixing with dirty water, it should go off alot quicker.
