I wouldn't recommend it as the old paper can flash through. i've if there is flowers etc. then when you do want to strip it it's double the work lol
Noooooo please don't do that that on fresh plaster jason you should have used a primer that's called laytax. and 2 coats of soft sheen on top that's your walls perfect water will just run off it hope that helps
