Hi you need to prepare your wall before painting ( sanding down any previous roller marks) you need to use a good quality roller and when you start rolling make sure you spread the pain on w shape and roller should go nice and easy don't press to much on it , make sure you spread the paint equally and only in 1 direction. hope this will help you

Hi its look like your wall support your floor above from your description, in this case you will need a steel beam installed, which will support your floor above if you want to remove that wall
