Ideally no, but give it a undercoat with oil base first in order no to peels off from the heat in future, than you proceed with satin/gloss for final coat.
Dulax-pbw / satinwood(oil base)
Depends if you apply 2 coats for final coat. better off buy 5l oil base and make sure you mix that with white spirit.
2-3 days normally, leave radiators on if there are any on the room to dry quicker.
Give it a undercoat again then final coat.
