Definitely not. either remove existing ceiling or overboard
The walls needs to be plastered again bringing the wall out to the edge of the socket boxes
2 days is not enough time. any kitchen units fixed to the newly plastered wall will prevent the walls from drying and lead to mould.
Pva mixed with 40% water and applied directly to the artex. allow pva to dry. use bonding for the first coat and then two coats of multifinish plaster.
