About Us:

My name is Chris and I am an experienced tiler based in Benllech. I have just conpleted 83 new build homes each with a wetroom, bathroom and kitchen tiled. I am now looking to fill my diary up with private work as my next site is not due to start until January. All aspects of tiling and painting undertaken. different sized tiles

I would recommend using the same sized tiles as per the bottom half of the wall for aesthetics.

Do I need to retile the whole wall(s) in a shower enclosure?

I would recommend ripping out all of the tiles in the showerarea, aswell as the plasterboard behind. the area should be reboarded with showerproof tile backerboards and tanked before re-tiling.

Cracking mortar

Cracked grout is caused usually by one of two things, incorrectly mixed grout or movement behind the tiles. i would suggest removing the grout and hiring a professional to regrout. if the same issue happens again then all of the tiles would need to be removed and the wall strengthened, e.g. adding more noggins to the stud work.
