Hello. as a electrician myself, i always make sure to leave earlier in case there is traffic or any other situation that could delay me happens. being late and delaying the customer is very unprofessional. asking to be paid for being late for that much time and doing absolutely nothing is something else. of course sometimes unexpected situations may occur, but that's rarely the case. most of the times its just poor time management. i don't think there is any reason for you to pay. if they push a lawsuit then i would say pay the £50 and find new electricians that will value and respect their customers.
