I have a pvc window, but the insides of the window is wood.
Do I need to add anything onto the wood to keep the plaster intact ?
Thanks in advance
It will fall off unless it has a mesh or u plasterboard it ,if room
Before you plasterer over wood you need to wire mesh it first then use bonding before skimming
yes before plastering you can do with plasterboard or either with mesh.
9.5 plaster board or duplex board 5mm . if its got frame around the window and you don't want to take the frame off you can get edge bead to go over board to give you nice finish. if you want frame of you will need to use angle beads and plaster window wall. hope that helps
You would require plaster board first which comes in two sizes 9.5 and 12.5mm depths depending on window frame size.

Yes you need to plasterboard the wood first because plaster will not set on wood
If you have a crack it is because the timber is moving as it expands &contracts due to moisture
Hi.
Is it reveals around window you're asking about?
Plaster will chip off the wood nearly every time.
Because of that plasterboard should be applied on the top of it if possible.
Plasterboard would be the best option but maybe blue grit if it is small enough
B&D PLASTERING
Hi plaster can't go on timber unless you plasterboard it first
screwing plasterboard to the would should be done
You need to remove the wooden frames and make good wall and Skim or you could screw Plaster board to frames and skim
My professional advice is removal off wood if can Two thing you need if want plastering on wood
One.is eml wire and bonding allow 24 48 to dry then pva and skim
Second option is to apply blue grit on wood allow 24 to dry then add bonding allow to cure for 24 hours pva and skim
