It's easier to do this,but can be done after
Scrape back bubbling and loose paint, stabilizer the wall before doing repairs and repaint
Most decorator's don't use tape,but on occasion i've found using it ok to leave until both coats are finished
2and half would be plenty you would get 5 coats on all 4 doors with that amount,
Just prime bare wood after rubbing down skirting,then undercoat all and gloss
