There is concrete around it but it looks like it's been patched up so I'm not sure if this has been badly repaired in the past or something. We're new in the house so I don't have any further information. I have added pictures of what you see when the shower is running. We then had some extras that we wanted to add on to the job which Rik did for us. He always left the house tidy and we have him a key. We would use Rik again without hesitation. Rik removed a stud wall for us as well as plastering our ceilings. He also did some electrical work along with coving and skirting boards.
