I am looking for a decorator who can paint all my external woodwork. It is a modern 3 storey house which has a dormer window. The dormer and gable end are obviously high. I have seen others painted from a ladder and am hoping to have it done without the extra expense of scaffolding.

This tradesperson has taken a deposit from me (I was stupid to pay upfront before seeing any work) and no work has been completed. On each occasion I contact him another false promise is made of the work will start tomorrow. He now keeps promising to refund my deposit but again this doesn't materialise. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FIRM TO ANYONE AND, IF YOU DO EMPLOY THEM DO NIT T PAY ANY MONEY UPFRONT UNTIL THE WORK HAS STARTED.

This man Kelvin Ese came to my house and virtually destroyed it! He was employed to do straightforward white emulsioning and gloss. 3 carpets were ruined by dripping paint The painting work was rough and shoddy. Before he commenced work incidentally, he insisted I pay him a thousand pounds! I have no receipts. I went away for a couple of days and returned to devastation. He neither covered carpets etc or used masking tape I have 108 of this carnage for anyone who cares to view them.
