Remove existing lamp post lantern (rusted) replace with new.

Original victorian lamp post in front garden has lantern top that is rusted on. I can order a new lantern but need the rim measurement to do so. I would like a handyman to remove the old lantern, provide rim size and replace with the new one. Thank you.
