painting walls and trim the same

I am currently redecorating my bedroom. The plan is to decorate the room in question with black paint with shaker panelling on one of the walls. The walls have been newly plastered and wooden beams have been purchased to construct the panelling. What materials/ products would I need to get a consistent finish between the wood and the new plaster (we are looking for a matt effect and the same colour on walls, skirting, coving, panelling, doors and ceiling). I know there may be a problem with painting the wood the same as the walls but I am really looking for a consistent finish and colour and as matt/ flat as possible with little to no sheen. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi there,

you can paint wood and plaster the same with a matt emulsion, but the best thing to do would be to put a wood primer onto the wooden beams before painting with the black emulsion.

Hope this helps.

I recommend oiling the wood because you can see the structure of the wood, you can use oil in the color you want, plus you can use varnish by strengthening the structure, I recommend satinwood
