Capping a chimney

I have a unused fireplace on the upstairs room of a detached house. I understand that even if the fireplace is not used you still need to let the chimney breathe. I have two differing bits of advise, one is a ventilation cowl (Redbank 190MM Flue Ventilator Cowl Red) or a C Cap Chimney capper. What is the best option or if there is a better alternative. After the installation of either item is there anything else I need to install at the bottom end of the fireplace?

Hi if your chimney pot is 190mm is diameter the Redbank cowl is a good option although, I would recommend https://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/product/colt-cowls-econocowl-antidowndraught-cowl-150mm-to-250mm.html this cowl as it adjustable for most chimney pots, cheaper and easier to fit.
