Re hanging internal larder doors using new flush hinges, old ones were flush, but the doors are springing, have made sure screws are flush, don’t know what else to try : / Thanks
The hinges may be too far into the frame, not too deep more set too far over, try moving them out a few mm
The door may be binding on the hinges, you might need to pack the hinges out a fraction with a piece of card. This will stop it springing open when you try and close the door
Hello,
This may be an issue with damp cupboards and they could use planing - we would be happy to help :)
It could be you have sunk the Hinge to deep in the door or frame
This is called binding. Sunken hinges can be a cause of binding doors. This is when the hinge has been set too deep into the frame causing the door to bind with the frame at the hinge side just before it closes. you can sort this by packing behind hinges with packers to bring flush on frame and door. also, sometimes it's the placement of the door stop but I bet its sunken hinges.
i hope this help
Door is hitting off frame or back edge of door hitting door stops as hinges to deep in frame hinge cut trying easing them or packing hinges that will fix ur problem
It sounds like the knew hinges are too close to the door and binding, this is a common occurrence after painting and refitting doors with this type of hinge, loosen hinge push the knuckle forward a tiny bit and retighten
