Shower won't turn on

We have an electric shower that was fitted back in August last year. It was working fine yesterday and then this morning I went to use it and it won't turn on. The light on the ceiling pull cord comes on but the lights on the shower unit itself do not and the button does not turn the shower on. We're hoping to get someone out to look at it under the warranty but they do charge £80 call out fee if the issue isn't covered under warranty. We cannot afford this at the moment as I'm off long term sick and we can barely afford to pay bills. Does anyone know what could potentially be causing this and if it's more likely to be an issue with the shower (warranty) or more an issue with our electrics? Thanks in advance!

Well if the neon light is on on the pull cord isolater switch then there is power to the switch at least, if there is no neon light on the unit itself that tells me there is no power into the unit itself. So may be a loose live connection inside the unit itself or the unit itself is faulty

The issue will be with the shower unit it’s self if there is power from the isolated to the shower and it’s not coming on it’s usually cause by the coil solenoid valve not activating and allowing a flow of water

Could potentially be the shower pull cord these are common failures with electric showers

Could be a electrical fault within the shower which would be covered or also the main connection from socket to the shower.

Shower is faulty if you have power from switching to shower and the shower not coming on the switch at shower could be at fault or possibly wire in shower come out either way you need a visit from qualified Tec to determine wire or switch
