Hi,
I am removing a towel radiator to retile the wall. I turned the valve off so the radiator has gone cold. Does this shut off the water too? There’s another bolt to remove the radiator that means the valve remains on the water pipe.
Any help would be great!
When it comes to dismantling the radiator, apart from closing the radiator, the second valve is used to supply water to the other valves, you also need to close it and drain the water from the radiator.
When removing a radiator make sure all valves are correctly tightend to close off the water supply turn off water supply from the mains
Turn isolation valves to shut off
Test taps to see if any water is coming through
Always make sure once the radiator has been drained of water before removed and cap it off with the appropriate push fit stop valve to prevent any water coming through
