I'm a bricklayer with 12 years experience in all aspects of brick work, from groundworks, from foundations to new builds, extensions, garden walls, repointing, demolition, stonework and more. Cost of rebuilding a brick wall?

£250 days work for 1 man

Cost of putting a door from a hall to an integral garage?

Yes this is possible. you would have to use acros and strong boys to support whilst you install the correct lintel/steel. once supported you can cut the door opening and knock through. the total for this would be around £1800

Where can we buy inexpensive manufactured brick seconds?

Some builders merchants or smaller independent merchants around the area.

Is expanding foam instead of compo common practice?

No, this should filled and pack tight with compo for strength purposes

Making a foundation

You would need to dig new trenches and take slabs up and then concrete new foundation. and build substructure with blocks and bricks to dpc level.
