Once I have received a quote for building work, is it binding? Or do we both need to sign a contract for it to become binding?
It depends do you think you need a contract is it a big job where a contract is needed incase libilty.
Hi Richard, quotes are an indication of price and are not binding. A contract signed by both parties is binding.
A quotation is not legally binding, as it is only a quotation of cost for work to be undertaken, but a signed contract is unless any terms and conditions outlined have been violated.
It is law that the builder gives you a seven day cooling off period. Soon it will be a 14 day period. Hope this helps thanks.
A Quote is binding for the exact work stated, an estimate is not, do not add on anymore works however minor and the price is as quoted.
