We're been quoted £1500 + VAT for for entirely rebuilding (with new bricks) our front wall (rather than just repair). Is that reasonable. I was a bit surprised! It's 5m long and 5 bricks high with 2 brick pillars. (we're in Poole). Any indication much appreciated!
The price is high as you only need 120 bricks ( approx ) plus sand and cement ... unless the price includes the dismantling and removal of the existing wall
more then reasonable if they do a perfect job, I would say it's little expensive to be honest
Hi always ring about and get a few quotes we never (like most) charge for a quotation
One would have been given A average quote as tradesman would be trying to win the job,
As he knows you could get other quotes.
But.
One would suggest to you to rebuild wall.
Rather than Repair wall.
Advice
One can get as many quotes as you like.
You got a quote for Rebuild.
Now,
Get a quote to Repair.
You compare Different quote.
You now have a choice.
I myself as a tradesman would go for Repair, if I thought wall could be repaired.
Id have done this for 800 1500 is to dear
Much to much I would complete that for £1100 no vat
Hi there I think you have been given a reasonable price with £1500 you may find £100 cheaper or so elsewhere but if you have found a recommended tradesmen for that price go with it!
