Gas pipe partial upgrade

I have a 22 mm pipe from my gas meter to my loft my fitter has updated to 28 mm across the loft to the boiler. Does this increase pressure to my boiler or will pressure be the same as it’s still running part way through the 22 mm pipe

Why did he upgrade it. Have you had a new boiler or additional appliances installed. The gas pipe run has to be calculated to provide the the correct working pressure at all appliances to allow for satisfactory and safe operation.
