“Outstanding workmanship, incredible work ethic and an inspiring dedication to completing all work on time! We cannot recommend Crafted Woodwork highly enough! They completed a full loft conversation with set in plasterboards to expose the beams and sanded and waxed them to make a stunning feature, they built beautiful bespoke furniture and a utility room from scratch! Putting felt on the chimney wouldn't really do much to be honest. we use lead around the chimney, chiselling into the mortar slightly to be able to get lead inside and then over the roof tiles/slates that was there is no chance of rain getting in via the chimney. i hope this has helped.

Usually it will take 4-5 days for plaster to completely dry, sometimes a whole week. it really depends on temperature of the room, the hotter the room stays the faster it will dry. so crank that heating up in your case! i hope that has helped.

Hi matt, this is completely doable. the boiler can be moved into a different position. if the floor is lower there's always the option of adding a nice step down or if you really wanted it even you can put a timber structured floor down to marry up with the height. regarding the wall being load bearing it isn't possible to comment unless viewing it. however, either way, load bearing or not it is still 100% fine to do. if it isn't load bearing, whack that wall straight on through. but, if it is load bearing then you will need to prop up the ceilings above, take part of the wall down, get an rsj (reinforced steel joist) into the wall to take the weight of the weight above, then knock the rest of the wall down.
i hope this has helped.

Sometimes the person laying sandstone it will not be cemented in place. they will use 'fine sand' in the joints to hold everything in place which to be honest always works.
in this case, there is possibly 2 issues.
1. the ground was not prepared properly. the ground needs to be 'whackered' down with a machine to compress the ground and flat as possible so the slabs will not buckle when working on any edges encouraging movement.
2. thee is enough compressed fine sand in the joints to hold everything together.

if the issue is the actually ground not being flat enough, i would have them to cement the joints.

i hope this has helped

Ask your plasterer to turn the water off and fit 2 'stop caps' on your pipes for the sink. turn the water supply back on and you're good to go. water will run through the house but unable to get through the sink pipes.
i hope this has helped
