The current square wooden base which the boiler sits on in the boiler cupboard is not stable, as the wood has become water damaged. A new base is needed. The boiler will be removed and replaced on the same day as the base is fitted. So a morning slot will be needed for the carpentry as the existing boiler will be removed in the morning and the new boiler fitted after the base has been replaced

But they did a good job and Norik made himself available the whole time via whatsapp (he had flu apparently). It did feel as if they rushing the job a little bit - it was 20+ degrees and naturally wanted to finish and enjoy the day - but 1 month on and the quality of the three things seems good.
