There was a serious leak from the upstairs bathroom in the ceiling of the kitchen. In order to find the source of the leak, we had to knock down part of the ceiling. All the woodwork and plaster were completely sodden and had to be pulled out. So there is now a large gaping gap. Its likely that the whole ceiling will need to be replaced. The ceiling area is approximately 1.5 x 1.5 meters

I have an 'L shaped' space under the stairs. The height is 150cm, the long side of the L is 238cm. The short side/bottom of the L is 170cm. The ceiling condition is okay (doesn't need doing) but the walls are cracked and crumbly in parts and require re-plastering.

W12, London Removing water-damaged bathroom ceiling, replacing it with new plasterboards/repainting. Replacing short lead outlet pipe with new plastic one. Wito's young mate did a satisfactory job on both. Just ensure everything is covered up well beforehand. Wito also arranged for Mariusz, plumber, to replace a leaking water pipe with new copper pipe section and replace ball valve in cistern. The work was done well, but took longer as suitable connecting section had to be found.

One small bedroom - roughly 4 metres by 3 metres - needs to have lining paper (that has been painted over a few times) removed and then the four walls need a skim. Needs to be seen to give a quote. The work needs to be done ASAP (as in this week) as I've already got a decorator booked to paint the whole flat - this is the only room not ready and his plasterer is not available. Please do not reply if you can't do it this week.

Melvin organised a plastering job for me - removing lining paper and making good walls and then skimming one room, including ceiling. The workman was excellent and Melvin was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He responded to texts, emails and phone calls, always showed up on time, started work at 8.30 am, managed to get materials to my place within the congestion charge zone without the usual moaning, and was always courteous, polite and patient. In future I would call Melvin first for any job.
