Every few years it's good to paint the render of your house to keep it water tight.
Painting every year will be a bit excessive I suggest every 3 to 4 years Hope this helps

I wouldn’t recommend this too many layers could cause damage and end up cracking.
This could mean you having to re-render and paint again.

it's not a problem if you paint them more often, it depends on how clean they are, if you have small children and they get dirty, it's normal to paint them more often

you'll need to paint every five to ten years, depending on factors such as where you live, climate and weather, and the previous paint job. Also, keep in mind that every surface will be a little different. Need anymore help or information do not hesitate to contact us.

Yearly is too often. However paint does protect your house, so if you see any time of peeling/ cracking/ water damage it’s time to paint. Usually for good painting job should last minimum 4-5 years, but once again it depends on wether conditions

I would personally say yearly is too much as the finished coat should look fine for a few years. Every 5 - 10 years would keep your exterior looking fresh but anything below that is unnecessary and could make it harder year in year to maintain.

If the proper prep has been done and a fungicide wash has been done pror to painting and any cracks have been repaired then two good coats of paint I.e Trade Dulux weather shield, Albany masonry paint or Sandtex then it will not need doing for 8 plus years

Cement render
This is one of the cheaper options and gives a smooth finish but it's not appropriate for older buildings with solid (non-cavity) walls. It's prone to cracking, so needs to be kept in impeccable condition. It also requires repainting every few years.

If you get a good decorator you would not need to repaint the render for at least 5 years unless you live on a main road with cars but even then only for looks.

You typically don't need to paint the render on your house yearly. Under normal conditions, expect to repaint every 5 to 10 years. Monitor for signs of wear, and if you notice issues before that timeframe, consider repainting sooner.

Painting the render on your house too frequently, such as every year, may not be necessary and could potentially cause issues with the paint finish and the underlying render. Here are some factors to consider when determining how often to paint the render:

1. **Condition of the Render:** Assess the condition of the render to determine if it actually needs repainting. If the render is in good condition and the paint is still intact and providing adequate protection, there may be no need to repaint it annually.

2. **Quality of the Paint:** Using high-quality exterior paint specifically formulated for rendering can help prolong the life of the paint finish and reduce the frequency of repainting. Invest in a durable paint that offers good adhesion, weather resistance, and UV protection.

3. **Climate and Exposure:** The climate and location of your house can affect how often the render needs to be repainted. Houses in coastal or high-exposure areas may require more frequent repainting due to exposure to salt, wind, sun, and other environmental factors.

4. **Preparation and Maintenance:** Proper preparation and maintenance of the render can also impact the longevity of the paint finish. Ensure that the render is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants before painting, and address any issues such as cracks or damage promptly to prevent them from worsening.

5. **Manufacturer's Recommendations:** Refer to the manufacturer's recommendations for the paint you're using, as they may provide guidance on the expected lifespan of the paint finish and how often it should be repainted.

In general, repainting the render every 5-10 years is a more typical timeframe, depending on the factors mentioned above. However, if you notice signs of paint deterioration, fading, or damage before then, it may be necessary to repaint sooner to maintain the appearance and protection of your home's exterior. Conversely, repainting too frequently, such as every year, could result in excessive buildup of paint layers, which may affect the appearance and performance of the paint finish.
