You can wallpaper over emulsion paint but keep in mind that the wall needs to be sanded down to remove any dirt and imperfections and holes needs to be filled up before applying wallpaper.
Hi.
You need to sand the wall, use filler to repair it, sand and prepare the wall for wallpapering.
You don't need to remove emulsion before papering just give walls a good rub down first.
As long as the wall is good condition then paper straight over.
Emulsion shouldnt normally need removing from the wall, unless the wall is in bad order, flaking or peeling. A good scrape and sand will be sufficient, and a sealer coat can be used after to Prevent flaking occuring again. If thin wallpaper is to be used I would recommend lining the wall first with appropriate grade lining paper
You generally dont remove emultion from walls before papering
No need to, you can apply a coat of pva or size the walls with wall paper paste to achieve good adhesion
You can only do this by removing wall and either re-plastering or Plaster Boarding and Skim
hi there you don't have remove the emulsion the wallpaper will go straight over the top of it.
Why do you want to remove emulsion?
Providing that the emulsion is dry and sound, just paper over it.
