Beginning your extension.
About to purchase a property that has planning permission for a double story extension. The permission runs out next December but it says "The development hereby permitted shall be begun within three years of the date
of this permission."
I don't have the funds to complete the whole project straight away so I wanted to know when they say begin, what's the littlest amount of work you can do to show it has begun if that makes sense. Seems a waste of time getting plans drawn up again and all that.

I would recommend trying to complete the shell but i think would get away with concreting the footing building footing and pouring the floor .

As long as you can show you have started they should have no problem with can taking a little longer to build the extension dig some of the footings that will be ok
