About to purchase a property that has planning permission for a double story extension. The permission runs out next December but it says "The development hereby permitted shall be begun within three years of the date
of this permission."
I don't have the funds to complete the whole project straight away so I wanted to know when they say begin, what's the littlest amount of work you can do to show it has begun if that makes sense. Seems a waste of time getting plans drawn up again and all that.
Get the footing done and you will be perfectly fine
I would recommend trying to complete the shell but i think would get away with concreting the footing building footing and pouring the floor .
Contact your local council for that
Excavation of foundations and filling with concrete should be sufficient
It should say somewhere in the conditions
The littlest amount is to start ordering material for the work ahead also any works of construction, demolition, digging foundations, laying out or constructing a road and a material change in the use of the land.
Marking out with wooden steaks in ground for building footprint
As long as you can show you have started they should have no problem with can taking a little longer to build the extension dig some of the footings that will be ok
This can be extended if you ring your local council it would cost a couple of hundred pound I believe
You have to get it up to dpc level.
If you just dig it and pour the concrete foundation that will be classed as staring it
Bring it up to foundations/dpc hight
