Which is the correct type of paint to use to paint the bathroom walls and ceiling?
Dulux Bathroom paint, or any sheen type paint. Vinyl or Acrylic Matt is suitable.
Artex is another good idea as steam doesn't get through it so will last years. Just doesnt look as nice as flat ceilings.
I would suggest that the best option for a paint to use in a bathroom would be to use a paint dedicated for bathrooms as this helps to resist mildew. It also has a tougher finish, allowing for it to be wiped down with a non abrasive cleaner.
Always used a good well known company that has bathroom paints. It might be bit more expensive than normal paint but it will last much longer than normal. Also when using bathroom paint i also like to add an additive that prevents any mould as bathrooms are always prone to moisture

A soft sheen finish.
Mainly for bathrooms you youse any dulux silk paint paint is washable and easy to wipe down
You can purchase celling and wall paints that are E.coli resistant and designed for bathrooms from a good DIY retailer. The can be wiped down keeping clean. Most bathroom celling issues are due to the fact of in indicate ventilation. A busy small bathroom with a family of 4 without the correct paint and not enough ventilation will cause damp, mildew, and even your tile grout to break down sooner than if a person used the same bathroom on their own.
The bathroom paint,Or if it gets wet use the stainblok end after bathroom paint!

A vynal Matt or Silk paint will be fine however I tend to buy paint designed for bathrooms and Kitchens.
you need to use a washable bathroom paint . Dulux or Leyland bathroom paint
You can now buy kitchen and bathroom paint, ether that or a emulsion that contains a anti mould solution.
Silk paint is always good in the bathroom but I'd just purchase specific bathroom paint as it needs to deflect moisture.. you can buy these paints from all major DIY stores ...
hope this helps
