Hi, the shower pull chord which controls the power to the shower has stopped working. When the chord is pulled it does not switch the switch on that gives the shower power. Any suggestions as to what has happened/ what to do? Thanks
Replace it, they are simple and cheap to replace, it's quite easy to be a little too vigorous with them lol
It is probably just faulty and worn down after strenuous use. Replacing the shower chord should fix it. You need an electrician.
Just need to replace Pull Cord Switch they do eventually stop operating

Hi, I think you just have to change the pull chord shower switch.
Sometimes the mechanism fails over time, and other occasions they burn out due to terminals not being tightened. Its recommended its replaced
YOU HAVE TO RUN POWER TEST IF THE POWER IS IN SHOWER AND THAT MEANS FAULT IN CHORD AND YOU HAVE TO CHANGED THE CHORD.
Best Solution is to replace the shower isolator.
Hi, it is possible that the pull cord switch is faulty and needs to be replaced although your first point of call is to make sure that there is power getting to the switch. I recommend you ask a qualified electrician to do this unless you have experience with electrics yourself
Hi there, the pull cord needs replacing, most likely switch burnt out or pull cord broken
The correct answer is to replace it by a qualified lectrician
Switch has failed and will need replacing with new
Hi it sounds like the switch needs replacing
It would be advised to call an electrician to test for fault and replace with a new pull cord.
You possibly have a faulty shower switch which must be investigated. I will suggest not to try to switch it on until you've had it checked.
The switch is broken over time from switching on and off they break it is a very common problem
Normally this means the switch needs replacing , the mechanism gets a lot of wear and they do tend to give out eventually.
Simple answer is to replace the Shower pull switch as they cannot be repaired.
General wear and tear is the main cause of the pull switch becoming defective and non-operational. I recommend the purchasing and fitting of a good quality pull switch in order to gain long, safe and reliable operation of your Isolation switch.
First invite a qualified electrician to troubleshoot, it might just have to do with replacing the pull chord
the pullcord switch is probably broken but would need to be tested first
